Henderson State quarterback Kevin Rodgers has been named Great American Conference Co-Offensive Player of the Week for a record sixth time this season.
 
Rodgers led the Reddies to a 44-36 win over Southern Arkansas to claim at least a share of the GAC title as the sophomore signal-caller completed 32-of-46 passes for a career-best 518 yards.
 
The Rockwall, Texas native had touchdown tosses of 6, 38 and 18 yards, running his season total to 39 scores. He became the third player in HSU history to go over 3,000 yards in a season.
 
Rodgers has 3,381 yards passing this season, second most in school history. Nick Hardesty holds Henderson's single-season record for passing yards with 4,007. Hardesty also has the Reddie record for career passing yards with 5,254. Rodgers is also second in career yardage with 4,648 yards in 16 games.
 
Rodgers has thrown at least two touchdown passes in each of the last 10 games, and has at least one pass completion of 50 yards or more in every game this year.
 
A Henderson State player has earned GAC Player of the Week honors every week of the season, with a total of 11 Reddies earning the honor in 2012.
 
The 8^th-ranked Reddies will enjoy a week off before playing host to Ouachita Baptist in the Southern Bancorp Battle of the Ravine on Saturday, November 10 with kick-off slated for 3 p.m. at Carpenter-Haygood Stadium.
