For the second time this season, Henderson State right-handed pitcher
Bryant Haralson was named Great American Pitcher of the Week for his performance against Harding.
In a complete-game win, Haralson struck out eight batters in recording a 3-0 victory over the Bisons. The junior from Atkins, Ark. threw 93 pitches with 70 being for strikes.
Haralson allowed five hits in the game and did not walk a batter.
On the year, Haralson is 3-2 on the season with a 2.30 earned run average. In 27 1/3 innings of work, Haralson has struck out 32 batters and walked just one, leading the nation in strikeout to walk ratio.
Henderson plays host to Ouachita Baptist on Monday in non-conference action with the first pitch set for 6 p.m. at Clyde Berry Field. The Reddies will also host Union on Tuesday with the first pitch set for 4 p.m.
