Henderson State University Athletics

Shirron played basketball from 1954-58. He was an All-AIC in 1956, 1957, and 1958. He  was Henderson’s first three-time All-AIC basketball player and captain of the 1958 AIC championship team that went 18-2. Shirron was a member of Phi Lambda Chi fraternity, Heart and Key, ROTC, Student Government Association, and Men’s Council. He was awarded the HSU Distinguished Alumni honor in December of 2000.
