Henderson State University Athletics

Rowland participated in football, basketball, and baseball in 1920 and 1921. He was  the head basketball coach from 1925-31; coached football at Henderson from 1925-30, compiling a record of 36-10-4; and coached state championship football teams from 1927-30. His teams won two Arkansas Intercollegiate Conference titles. He was inducted into the Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame in 1968.
