    Bruce Barnes was a defensive end for the Reddies from 1982 to 1985. A product from Benton, Ark., Barnes earned All-AIC honors in 1984 and 1985 and was a NAIA All-American defensive end. Barnes helped lead the Reddies to an AIC championship in 1985.   
Barnes totaled 98 tackles during the 1985 season including 12 quarterback sacks. Against East Central Oklahoma, Barnes totaled an amazing 17 tackles including four tackles for lost yardage. He signed a free agent contract with Kansas City in 1986.
