Henderson State University Athletics

Carter participated in football from 1990-93. He was the only four-time All-American in Henderson football history, All-AIC punter from 1990-92, All-GSC in 1993, he was the first Henderson player to earn All-GSC honors. Carter led the NCAA Division II in punting in 1993 and was selected to play in 1993 Snow Bowl (Division II All-Star Game). He  had 36 punts of 50 or more yards and a career average of 42.3 yards on 221 punts
