Elbert Kizzia was a four-year letterman in football from 1940 to 1947. An All-State selection in 1941, Kizzia went off to serve his country in World War II. He returned to Henderson and was a member of the team in 1946 and 1947. Kizzia was named the Reddie team captain his senior season
