One of the most successful coaches in Henderson State history, Forrest Schultz led the Reddie men's and women's golf programs to a combined seven Great American Conference titles from 2013-2021. Under Schultz, the Reddie men became the first program in GAC history in any sport to win five consecutive league championships from 2014-18 and the women captured conference crowns in both 2014 and 2021. In his tenure, the Reddies won a combined 32 tournament titles and each program appeared in the NCAA Regional Tournament in eight-consecutive seasons.
In 2017, Schultz led the Reddie women to the program's first appearance at the NCAA Division II National Championships in Findlay, Ohio, where Henderson finished No. 9 nationally. Additionally, Schultz played a key role in placing Henderson State's winning bids to host the 2019 NCAA DII Men's Central Regional Tournament and the 2022 NCAA DII Women's Central/Midwest Regional Tournament at Hot Springs Country Club — the first NCAA hosting opportunities for either program in school history.
A two-time GAC Coach of the Year in 2014 and 2015, Schultz coached 47 All-GAC honorees, four GAC individual champions, and eight All-Central Region selections during his time at Henderson State. He is currently the head men's golf coach at NCAA Division I Troy University in Alabama.
