Fred Nuesch served as the Henderson State student sports information director for four years from 1956 to 1960. After graduation, Nuesch wrote for the Arkansas Democrat (1962-63) and the Paris (Texas) News (1964-68) before beginning his career in sports information at Texas A&M-Kingsville. Nuesch served as the assistant athletic director and media relations coordinator at Texas A&M-Kingsville from 1968 to 2003. Nuesch was inducted into the NAIA Hall of Fame, Javelina Hall of Fame, Paris Junior College Hall of Fame and the most notable and prestigious College Sports Information Directors of America Hall of Fame
