Greg "Skip" Williams was a four-year letter winner in football and track from 1982 to 1985.
Williams earned First-Team All-AIC honors in 1982, and All-AIC Honorable Mention Honors in 1983 and 1985.
In football, Williams ranks fifth in HSU history for career receiving yards with 1,759 on 72 receptions. He averaged 24.4 yards per catch and scored 10 touchdowns.
During Henderson’s 1985 championship season, Williams caught 19 passes for 367 yards and scored two touchdowns to lead the Reddies to an AIC Championship and a NAIA national semifinal appearance.
Williams was also a four-time All-American in track, where he was named the All-AIC MVP in 1985.
In 1985, Williams was the AIC Champion in both the 100 meters (10.65) and 200 (21.39) meters.
Williams was voted Sportsman of the Year in 1986, and was later drafted by the Birmingham Stallions of the USFL.
