Henderson State University Athletics

Morgan enrolled at Henderson State Teachers College in 1967 with the hopes of becoming a force on the Reddie football team.  When his eligibility ran out, Morgan became only the third player in Arkansas Intercollegiate Conference history to be chosen in the National Football League draft, going to the Chicago Bears in the 14th round.  He was named the most-improved player for the 1968 season at Henderson.
