   Lou Ann Chandler-Howell was a two-time All-AWISA volleyball player during her years at Henderson from 1975 to 1979.
    Chandler-Howell also lettered in tennis and served as a graduate assistant for the volleyball and tennis teams.
    Chandler-Howell helped lead her teams to an AWISA State Championship and three runner-up finishes.
    During her four years at Henderson, the Lady Reddies appeared in four SWAIAW regional tournaments including a third-place finish in 1976.
     Chandler-Howell was the teams captain her senior year as well as the recipient of the Outstanding Physical Education Major award. 
     After graduation, Chandler-Howell worked in the North Little Rock School District for 28 years where she taught physical education, special education, coached volleyball and was an assistant basketball coach. 
    The past four years she has taught special education at Lonoke where she also has served as an assistant senior high volleyball coach and head boys golf coach.  She has also assisted with FCA and helps sponsor the registration drives for bone marrow matches.
