    Lucy Arroyo was a standout volleyball player at Henderson State in 2000 and 2001. In 2001, Arroyo was selected First-Team NCAA All-American after setting an NCAA record 919 kills averaging 6.61 kills per game with a .321 attack percentage.  The 2001 Gulf South Conference Player of the Year, Arroyo was the MVP of the GSC Tournament. She went on to earn First-Team America Volleyball Coaches Association and Daktronics All-Region honors. She was also a two-time First-Team All-GSC selection. Arroyo ended her career with 1457 kills and a .305 attack percentage. She also totaled 363 blocks and was part of two GSC West Division titles and a NCAA Region appearance. She was most recently named to the First-Team GSC All-Decade Team.
