Robert Thomas was a four-year letter-winner with the Reddie football team from 1993-1996.  Henderson’s all-time tackle leader with 388 tackles, he shares the school record for most tackles in a game, with 18 against Texas A&M-Commerce in 1996.  Thomas recorded a single-season record 129 tackles. He followed with 120 tackles in his final season.  The GSC Defensive Player of Year in 1995, he earned All-GSC honors in 1995 and 1996. He later signed with the Dallas Cowboys, where he played both fullback and linebacker. Thomas played in over 60 games, including over 25 starts, as a member of the Cowboys from 1998-2002. Thomas went from being a reserve linebacker to the lead blocker for Emmitt Smith as starting fullback.
