    One of the pioneers of Henderson State athletics, the late Robert “Sleepy” Thomasson was an all-around athlete. Thomasson played football, baseball, and basketball from 1922-26.  In 1925, he was selected as team captain for the baseball Reddies. Thomasson returned to Henderson State as an assistant football coach in 1945 and 1946.
