Ronnie Braddock was a linebacker for the Reddies from 1967 to 1970. He was part of the 1969 AIC championship team which ended the season with a 23-17 win over Ouachita Baptist. He earned All-AIC honors and was named team co-captain in 1969. Ronnie also set a school record 31 tackles in a game, a record that still stands in the Reddie record book. He also had a stint in professional football, playing for the Chicago Fire of the World Football League in 1974, the Jacksonville Firebirds of the American Football Association in 1979, and the Jacksonville Bulls of the USFL in 1982.
