Sebastian Villalva was Henderson’s first cross country All-American, earning the award in 1990 and 1991. Earned All-American accolades in three different sports – cross country, indoor track, and outdoor track –- during the 1990-91 season. Villalva won the AIC individual title in cross country in 1990 and 1991 and finished 15th in the nation in 1990. His freshman season he helped lead the Reddies to their first AIC Cross Country Championship and a 25th-place finish at national championships. In 1991, he captured titles in the 1,500, 5,000, and 10,000 meters at the AIC outdoor track meet and received the AIC High Point Award. He also placed third in the 5,000 meters at the national meet. In 1993, Villalva repeated his victories in the 1,500, 5,000, and 10,000 at the AIC outdoor track meet, and once again earned the AIC High Point Award. Villalva set five school records. He won nine conference titles.
