Henderson State University Athletics

A die-hard, loyal Reddie, Steve Eddington has dedicated much of his life in service to Henderson State University. A 1984 alum, Steve was heavily involved on campus during his time as a student in Arkadelphia. He was an active member of Sigma Tau Gamma fraternity, the cheer squad, The Oracle staff, and served in the sports information office as an assistant to the legendary Mike Dugan. After graduation, Steve took over Dugan's role of Sports Information Officer for the Reddies.
 
Steve has further given his time to the university as both a member and president of the HSU Alumni Board of Directors and as the emcee of the Hall of Honor induction banquet since 2022. In 2021, he was appointed by then-governor Asa Hutchinson to serve on the Arkansas State University System Board of Trustees as a representative of Henderson State. Steve served as the Chairman of the Arkansas State University System Board from 2024 through January 2026. He remains visible at a variety of university and alumni events and continues to represent the Reddie Spirit with devotion at every opportunity.
