Hart participated in football from 1966-69. He was team captain in 1969, AIC All-Star in 1968, All-AIC in 1968 and 1969, second-team NAIA All-American in 1969, and set Henderson and AIC single season total offense record in 1969 with 2,223 yards. He was fifth all-time in points scored in AIC history and third all-time in total offense in AIC history.
