ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - In Henderson's first trip across the street this school year, Reddie Cross Country finished in fourth place at the Bob Gravett Invitational on the campus of Ouachita Baptist University.
Host Ouachita Baptist finished first as a team in the 5K event, with Tiger junior Izzi Breaux also taking individual first place honors. In the team category, Arkansas Tech and University of Arkansas-Rich Mountain claimed second and third place, respectively.
The Reddies had two individual top 50 finishers in the form of Heidy Galvan (21:16.20) and Natalie Jennings (22:04.00). Jaide Tatum, Angela Dorado, and Kristina Kozlova also completed the race in under 25 minutes.
In less than a week, Henderson State will compete in the Steve Guymon Invitational at Harding University. Race time is set for 5:45 p.m. on Friday, September 13.
