Destiny Smith was named the Great American Conference's Women's Basketball Player of the Week for her performance in the last week of the 2012-13 regular-season.
Smith earned the GAC Player of the Week award after recording back-to-back double-doubles in Henderson's victories over Ouachita Baptist and Southern Arkansas.
Against Ouachita Baptist, Smith totaled 21 points and grabbed 15 rebounds in leading the Lady Reddies to a 58-56 win over the Lady Tigers.
Two days later against Southern Arkansas, Smith scored 20 points and 11 rebounds in just 19 minutes of playing time.
For the week, Smith averaged 20.5 points and 13 rebounds per game.
