ADA, Okla. – A 12-kill effort by junior outside hitter Ty Lindberg was not enough for Henderson State as they were swept in three sets (25-17, 25-15, 27-25) by East Central University on Saturday afternoon at the Kerr Activities Center in Ada, Okla.
 
Lindberg's 12 kills against East Central was also more than half of the Lady Reddies' (5-19, 1-9 GAC) total for the match as they were limited to just 22 kills through the three sets. Four other Lady Reddies registered kills, but the second-highest output was four kills from Jessica Moss.
 
In each of the first two sets, the Lady Reddies fell behind early and were not able to overcome the early deficits as the Lady Tigers (8-18, 5-4 GAC) led wire-to-wire. In the third set, however, the Lady Reddies held a lead six times and also served for set-point when the score was 25-24.
 
The Lady Reddies will now take a temporary break from GAC play as they will hit the road to take on the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Tuesday, October 23rd. First serve is set for 6:00 pm in Pine Bluff, Ark.
