Henderson State shot just 29 percent from the field as East Central upended the Lady Reddies 63-60, Saturday at the Duke Wells Center in Arkadelphia, Ark.
Henderson State, 3-2 overall and 1-1 in the Great American Conference, converted on just 19-of-65 shots from the field with the bulk of the errant shots coming at the end of the first-half.
After jumping out to a 19-5 lead with 12:57 to play in the first-half, Henderson State missed its next 17 shots from the field as East Central went on a 26 to 4 run to take a 31-23 advantage at the break.
The Lady Reddies made just 7-of-33 attempts in the opening half with five of the field goals being 3-point field goals.
East Central, 4-2 and 1-1, led the entire second-half until 
Jill Temples hit a pair of free throws with 10 seconds remaining to tie the game at 60-60.
ECU's Jourdan Clark was then able to get around the Henderson defense for an easy layup with 2 seconds left in the game. Clark was fouled on the play and converted the 3-point play to secure the win.
Temples led Henderson State with 21 points with the help of a perfect game from the foul line going 8-for-8.
Krystal Beachum added 17 points while 
Sheay Longstaff totaled 9 points, all coming from beyond the 3-point arc.
Clark led the Lady Tigers with 11 points, while Lindsay McCown scored 9.
The Lady Reddies out-rebounded East Central having 45 boards compared to 37 for the visitors. Henderson's 
Destiny Smith had a career-high 21 rebounds to go along with 6 points.
Henderson also struggled from the foul line making 15-of-24 attempts for 63 percent, while East Central was 17-of-20 for 85 percent.
Henderson State will next travel to Monticello, Ark. on Thursday to take on the Cotton Blossoms with tip off set for 5:30 p.m.
