East Central used a late second-half run to pull away from Henderson State as the Lady Tigers beat the Lady Reddies 65-57, Thursday in Ada, Okla.
East Central, 14-4 overall and 9-3 in the Great American Conference, went on a 16-5 run beginning with 6:47 to play in the game.
Leading 49-48, Taylor Fischer sparked the Lady Tigers with a 3-point field goal to begin the run. As a team, the Lady Tigers then hit seven straight free throws, while Henderson State committed four turnovers during the ECU spurt and made just 3-of-9 field goals.
Henderson State, 10-8 overall and 5-7 in league play, had a 31-28 halftime lead thanks to some solid perimeter shooting by 
Vanessa Pieper who was 3-for-3 from beyond the arc for 9 points in the half.
East Central outrebounded Henderson State 22 to 10 in the second half and shot 50 percent from the field. The Lady Reddies were limited to 9-of-27 shooting from the field in the half.
Four Lady Reddies scored in double-figures with Pieper, 
Jill Temples and 
Krystal Beachum scoring 12 points each. 
Destiny Smith added 10 points and 8 rebounds.
ECU's Dilan Webster led all scorers with 22 points and 11 rebounds.
Henderson State will continue its road trip through Oklahoma as the Lady Reddies travel to Durant on Saturday to face Southeastern Oklahoma with tipoff set for 2 p.m.
