Lady Reddies Outdug Rangers, 34-32

ALVA, Okla. - The Henderson State University volleyball team (3-16, 0-8 GAC) walked out of the Percefull Fieldhouse without a Great American Conference win as Northwestern Oklahoma State University (4-16, 1-7 GAC) defeated HSU.

Although the Lady Reddies recorded two more digs than the Rangers, HSU fell 3-0 for the third straight match.

Senior Cheyenne Derr (Mansfield, Ark.) was Henderson State's main contributor defensively, adding the only double-digit performance with 10.

HSU's offensive hit at .190 (33-84), but NWOSU was impressive at a .358 attack percentage to secure the win.

Junior Sarah Williams (Conroe, Texas) had her most consistent outing, hitting .421 with 10 kills on 19 attacks.

Ranger outside hitter Asia Pipkin recorded the match's only double-double with 13 kills and 10 digs.

The Lady Reddies will continue their road stretch as they will travel the short trek across Highway 7 to battle Ouachita Baptist University on Oct. 22 at 7 p.m.
