ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – The Henderson State University volleyball team (1-11, 0-4 GAC) will look to give Southern Nazarene (10-5, 3-0 GAC) its first conference loss on Saturday, Oct. 5 in the Duke Wells Center at 1 p.m.

HSU is coming off one of its most intense matches of the season. Last Tuesday, the Lady Reddies rallied back from being down 2-0 to Arkansas-Monticello to force a fifth set, but fell in a heartbreaker, 3-2.

In an overall team effort, seven different players recorded a kill and eight made an impact defensively with at least one dig.

Katrina Goulbourne (Jr., Visalia, Calif.) and
Sarah Williams (Jr., Conroe, Texas) both recorded double-digit kills with 11. Â

HSU increased its average to 1.20 blocks per set after their last matchup, Moss is the team's leader with .69 blocks per set and
Jami Jackson (Jr., Kennett, Mo.) has 18 total blocks for a .45 block per set average.

Junior
Lindsey Calabrese (San Jose, Calif.) has 91 digs in 40 sets for a 2.28 average per set.

Southern Nazarene
Southern Nazarene took a victory from Southwestern Oklahoma State, 3-1, on Tuesday evening to remain perfect in conference action.

The Crimson Storm have won nine of their last 11 and are off to the best start in Great American Conference play in school history.

Kira Roberts had a season-high 16 kills and hit .300 on the night while Jamie Hope had 10 kills and hit .333. Hope also notched her fourth double-double on the season with 12 digs. Both also added a pair of blocks.

Emilee Crawford also had eight kills.Â
Kaylee Piatt recorded 40 assists and added seven digs and two blocks.Â
Abbey Bell notched a career-high 30 digs while
Emily Dick tied her career-high with seven blocks.
Southwestern hit .150 compared to .134 by SNU and had 15 more digs with 94 as SNU had 79.

For this season, the Crimson Storm are hitting .218 with 685 kills.

Last Year's Meeting
These two teams gathered on the court on Sept. 29, 2012 and SNU swept the Lady Reddies, 3-0. Moss was the team's leader in kills with nine. The team hit .133 but was unmatched to the Crimson Storm's .272 attack percentage.

The Lady Reddies will be hosting their Serve For The Cure game against Harding on Oct. 8 at 7 p.m. This is the team's annual drive to raise funds for cancer and breast cancer.
