ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – The October 8
th match between the Henderson State University volleyball team (1-12, 0-5 GAC) and Harding (14-5, 5-0 GAC) will just not be another conference matchup, but it will be step in helping to find a cure for not just Breast Cancer but all Cancer as well. The Lady Reddies are hosting their annual Serve For The Cure match on Tuesday in the Duke Wells Center at 7 p.m.

Henderson State
HSU will look to learn from their 3-0 loss against Southern Nazarene that took place on Saturday, and turn it around with a victory against one of the toughest opponents in the conference.
Although the team is being held to a .077 attack percentage, head coach
Rhonda Thigpen has seen a vast improvement since the beginning of the season.
Katrina Goulbourne (Jr., Visalia, Calif.) will look to hit the 100-kill mark in her next showing as she currently leads the team with 95 kills.
Sarah Williams (Jr., Conroe, Texas) has only played in five matches for the Lady Reddies, but is averaging 2.11 kills per set.
Jessica Moss (Jr., Garland, Texas) is the team's leader with .69 blocks per set and
Jami Jackson (Jr., Kennett, Mo.) has 21 total blocks for a .49 block per set average.
Junior
Lindsey Calabrese (San Jose, Calif.) has 98 digs in 43 sets for a 2.28 average per set.
Raegan Large (Jr., Montgomery, Texas) holds a 2.03 dig average in 31 sets played.
Harding
Harding is coming off its sixth straight win over Southeastern Oklahoma State. In a 3-1 domination, the Lady Bison hit .320 in the match led by their senior Mollie Arnold with 18. In addition, she added double-digit digs with 16.
Defensively, Harding held a top-notch performance at the net with 9.0 blocks. Liv Savage led the charge with 5.0.
Overall, the Lady Bison are hitting .204 with 927 kills this season. They have also just squeaked over 100-ace mark with 101 in 71 sets.
Individually, Arnold is one of four Harding players with over 140 kills, earning 290. Marindia Turner has 167, Alyssa Short with 144 and Savage rounds it out with 143 kills in 19 matches.
In the back court, Lisa Copeland sits at 357 digs while Arnold is at 221.
Last Year's Meeting
These two teams gathered on the court on Sept. 11, 2012 and Oct. 2, 2012. The Lady Reddies were unable to take a set in either meeting and fell 3-0 in both.
