Derr, Thompson and Calabrese All Record Over 10 Digs

Box Score DURANT, Okla. – The Henderson State University volleyball team (4-22, 0-12 GAC) remains winless in Great American Conference play as they are unable to overcome Southeastern Oklahoma State University (13-15, 7-6 GAC) Saturday afternoon in the Bloomer Sullivan Gym.

In the 3-0 loss, the Lady Reddies hit .116 in the loss, led by junior Katrina Goulbourne (Visalia, Calif.) who recorded 10 kills on 24 attempts. Junior Jami Jackson (Kennett, Mo.) was just one dinger away from a double-digit showing as the middle for HSU recorded nine kills.

Three Henderson State defenders were on point as they recorded double-digit digs against the Savage Storm's attack. Junior Lindsey Calabrese spread the floor as she led HSU with 13 scoops. Setter Taylor Thompson (Yuba City, Calif.) posted 24 assists and 11 digs, while Cheyenne Derr (Mansfield, Ark.) also added 11 digs.

A total of 44 kills and a .256 attack percentage was just enough to power past Henderson State, 25-20, 25-15 and 25-15. Magan Kunkel had a match high 13 kills, while Courtney Miller had 15 digs.

HSU's last road match will be on Tuesday as the Lady Reddies will travel to Russellville to square off against Arkansas Tech. The match is set to begin at 6 p.m. on Nov. 12.
