Box Score Jessica Moss had a career-high 28 kills to lead Henderson State to a 3-1 (23-25, 25-10, 25-15, and 25-23) win over Oklahoma Panhandle State, Friday in volleyball action at the Duke Wells Center in Arkadelphia, Ark.
Moss was unstoppable having a .480 attack percentage to go along with three blocks.
The Henderson State defense was led by defensive specialist
Andjela Reljic who had 30 digs while
Sophia Cansigno had 10 digs along with a pair of service aces.Â
After OPSU won the opening set 25-23, Henderson cruised to a 25-10 win in set two as Moss had seven kills as the Reddies combined for a .273 hitting percentage.
It was much of the same in set three as the Reddies outhit the Aggies .367 to .111 to win the set 25-15. Moss added five more kills while
Violet Williams and
Kaylie Pyles had three kills each.
In the fourth set, Moss hit .562 with 9 spikes while
Ryleigh Thompson had 16 set assists as the Reddies won 25-23.
Thompson ended the match with 45 set assists in the match.
Nayeli Colunga, Williams and Pyles had seven kills each.
Henderson ended with a .215 attack percentage while the Aggies were limited to a .105 hitting percentage.
Henderson State play host to Arkansas Tech on Tuesday, Oct. 14 with the first serve set for 7 p.m. in the Duke Wells Center.
