Henderson State and Ouachita Baptist will both be attempting to clinch a spot in next week's GAC Tournament as the Reddies head to Vining Arena to take on OBU in the Southern Bancorp Battle of the Ravine on Thursday with tipoff set for 7:30 p.m.

Henderson would clinch a spot in the post season event with a win. The Tigers are tied with Southeastern Oklahoma for the final spot with two games to play.     Â
The Reddies are 11-15 on the season and 7-11 in GAC play, having lost four of their last five games including a pair of overtime losses.
Deoirvay Johnson leads Henderson State in scoring averaging 13.3 points per game including shooting 47 percent from beyond the arc.

Taylor Smith is averaging 11.8 points per game and leads the GAC in 3-point shooting hitting on 48 percent of his attempts (43-of-90).          Â
Melvin Haynes averages 11.3 points per contest and leads the team in free throw shooting converting on 83 percent from the charity stripe.
Ouachita Baptist is 8-16 overall and 5-13 in the GAC. The Tigers are also fighting for one of the last two spots for the GAC Tournament next week.

OBU averages 70.8 points per game which ranks ninth in the GAC. The Tigers are managing 44.7 percent shooting from the field which ranks sixth in the league.     Â
Colt Fason leads the Tigers in scoring averaging 16.7 points per game and is the team's top rebounder at 8.8 boards per contest which is second-best in the GAC. Â
Micah Delph follows averaging 15.2 points per game and leads the team in 3-point field goals making 64-of-170 attempts. Delph has also dished out 109 assists this season which ranks second in the GAC.

OBU won the first meeting this year 61-59 as Micah Delph hit a 15-foot jumper with 3 seconds left.
OBU leads the all time series with a 101-96 advantage in a series which began in 1910. The Tigers have won seven of the last nine meetings and 12 of the last 14 including a 61-59 win earlier this season at HSU.
