It was one of those nights where everything went wrong as Henderson State lost to Ouachita Baptist 93-51, Thursday at Vining Arena in Arkadelphia, Ark.
Henderson State shot just 31 percent from the field and committed 20 turnovers, while OBU dominated all facets of the game shooting 40 percent from the field launching 85 shot while making 34 and outrebounding Henderson 52 to 37.
OBU set the tone from the opening tip jumping out to a 16-5 lead as the Lady Tigers hit four of their first five 3-point field goals with Nashia James nailing all three of her attempts.
The Lady Tigers continued to control the tempo of the game and took a 47-22 lead at the break as Henderson continued to have problems with the OBU defense.
The Lady Reddies made just 7-of-22 attempts from the field while committing 15 turnovers.
Henderson's inside game was obsolete as the Lady Reddies managed just two field goals in the paint. There weren't many second chances for Henderson as the Lady Reddies had just one offensive rebound in the half.
Meanwhile, OBU took nearly twice as many shots from the field making 17-of-40 attempts including 7-of-17 3-point field goals.
The second half was more of the same as the Lady Reddies never mounted any type of comeback as OBU was playing inspired on Senior Night.
Dulincia Keener led Henderson State with 14 points and 12 rebounds, with
Jasmine Settles,
Aungelique Sledge and
Taylor Washington having 7 points each.
James led OBU with 17 points, while Breanna Harris totaled 15 points.
Henderson State will play its final regular-season game on Saturday when the Lady Reddies travel to Magnolia, Ark. to take on Southern Arkansas with tip-off set for 2 p.m.
