Coming off its first win of the season in Conway against Philander Smith on Friday, the Henderson State volleyball team will return to the Duke Wells Center to face conference opponent Arkansas Monticello on Tuesday with the first serve set for 7 p.m.
Jessica Moss collected 17 kills in the match against Philander Smith, while
Samantha Sawyer delivered 46 set assists and 10 defensive digs.
Moss leads the team with 75 kills on the season, averaging almost three per set, while
Carli Owens is second on the team with 55.
Ryleigh Thompson and Sawyer lead the team in set assists, with 106 and 104, respectively.
The Reddies carry a 1-7 record into Tuesday's matchup, while the visiting Cotton Blossoms sport a 2-4 record and will be playing their first conference game against Henderson.
This will be the second conference matchup of the season for the Reddies, as they faced Arkansas Tech a week ago, falling 3-0.
UAM is coming off of a 3-0 win over Texas College on Saturday.
Sydni Schulz leads the Cotton Blossoms in kills with 41, and also leads in digs with 63.
Kaila Kikugawa is the team's leader in set assists with 99.
Tuesday's game will also be "Spirit Night" for Henderson State volleyball.
HSU student organizations, fraternities and sororities are encouraged to attend and show their Reddie spirit.
