The Henderson State volleyball team fell in a three-set Great American Conference match to Ouachita on Thursday evening across the street at Sturgis Physical Education Center.
Jessie Jacoby paced the Reddies with 12 total kills and a .086 attack percentage, while
Ryleigh Thompson contributed 16 set assists for the match.
HSU(0-5 GAC), would fall in the first set 26-24, and were led by Jacoby who had six kills and a .231 attack percentage for the set.
The second set belonged to the Tigers as Ouachita(3-2 GAC) outscored the Reddies 25-17.
Jacoby would contribute three more kills in the second set, while
Kaylie Pyles had two.
Ryleigh Thompson also dished out eight set assists in the opening set for the Reddies.
In the final set, Ouachita would escape with a 25-18 victory.
Abby Pickett would lead the Ouachita charge with 15 kills and a .345 attack percentage.
Pyles finished the match with six kills for HSU, while
Violet Williams and
Gabby Ginapp each pitched in five.
HSU finished the contest with a .101 hitting percentage, while the Tigers finished at .226 percent.
The Reddies racked up 33 total kills in the match, while the Tigers had 40.
Henderson State will return to action on October 9 as the Reddies travel to Bethany, Okla. to take on Southern Nazarene in a GAC contest with first serve set for 6 p.m.
