The Henderson State volleyball team fell in four sets to Great American Conference opponent Arkansas-Monticello on Tuesday evening at the Duke Wells Center
Henderson State would drop the first set by a score of 25-13, as
Jessie Jacoby and
Kaylie Pyles each recorded two kills in the set.
The Reddies bounced back to claim the second set 25-22 over the Cotton Blossoms, as Jacoby contributed eight spikes and a .471 attack percentage for HSU.
Brea May also dished out a team-high 12 set assists in the second set.
UAM rebounded, however, to take the third set 25-20.
Jacoby once again led the Reddie charge in set three with five kills, while
Gabby Ginapp recorded three.
Monticello would then take the following set by a score of 25-14 and the match 3-1.
Jacoby led Henderson State on the night pitching in 20 kills, while May was top setter with 32 set assists.
Defensively,
Sydney Skelton led Henderson with 28 digs.
HSU returns to action for its final match of the season on Thursday as the Reddies travel to Magnolia to take on Southern Arkansas with first serve set for 7 p.m.
