HSU Women’s Basketball Set to Face Off Against Rogers State in Non-conference Action

With wins over its last two opponents, the Henderson State women's basketball team will look for continued success on Saturday against non-conference opponent Rogers State(5-1), with tipoff set for 2 p.m.

Dulincia Keener comes in off the best performance of the year after scoring 32 points and pulling down 21 rebounds to help the Reddies(4-4) defeat Southeastern Oklahoma 75-58 a week ago.

Keener earned Great American Conference Player of the Week honors for her efforts last week.

The Reddies are 0-4 in non-conference play this season as they look for their first victory over a non-GAC opponent.

On the season, the Reddies average 76.4 points per game, while holding opponents to 76.1 points.

HSU also holds a 3.6 rebounding margin edge over opponents, averaging 42.6 per contest.

Keener leads Henderson State in both points(17.1) and rebounds(9.0) and has achieved three double-doubles through the first eight games.

Haleigh Henson averages 13.1 points per game, and leads the Reddies in three-pointers made this season with 17-of-47 for 36 percent.

Also averaging in double figures is senior Victoria Stewart, who pitches in 12.8 points per game.

Rogers State picked up a 50-49 victory over Texas A&M-Commerce last Saturday, and has won its last four contests.

The Hillcats have a balanced attack, as nobody averages in double-figures.

Natasha Kindred leads RSU with 9.2 points per game and 7.8 boards, while Emily Gamble pitches in 8.0 points and 6.6 rebounds per game.
