Reddie Women's Basketball Travels to Texas A&M-Commerce for Non-Conference Matchup

The Henderson State women's basketball team will hit the road for a non-conference matchup at Texas A&M-Commerce on Saturday, with tipoff set for 7:30 p.m.

HSU, 5-4 on the season, takes a three-game winning streak into the contest after defeating Rogers State 49-48 on Dec. 12, while TAMUC(5-5) defeated Great American Conference member East Central 61-39 on Wednesday.

The Reddies are led by Dulincia Keener this season, as the senior from Texarkana averages 17.3 points and 8.8 rebounds per game.

Keener's classmate Victoria Stewart has also contributed solid numbers this season as the Philadelphia, Miss. product averages 12.6 points and 5.2 rebounds per game, while also leading the Reddies with 2.7 assists per game.

Also averaging in double figures is sophomore Haleigh Henson.

The three-point specialist has knocked down 19-of-55 trifecta attempts this season, and averages 12.3 points per contest.

HSU is shooting 42 percent from the field this season, including 32 percent from beyond-the-arc.

The Reddies also have a 1.7 rebounding edge over opponents this season, averaging 41.8 per game.

Texas A&M-Commerce features a balanced attack, as no Lion player averages in double figures.

Leading the way is Shomari Harris, who averages 9.8 points per contest, while Khala Riley pitches in 9.4.

One of the main forces inside for the Lions is Amari Jones, as she averages 9.2 points and 9.9 rebounds per game.
