Dulincia Keener scored a career-high 32 points and pulled down 21 rebounds to lead Henderson State to a 75-58 win over Southeastern Oklahoma, Saturday at the Duke Wells Center.
The Reddies, 4-4 on the season, improved to 4-0 in the Great American Conference. It is the first time since the 2011-12 season that Henderson has begun league play 4-0.
Keener was unstoppable inside hitting 11 field goals while making 10-of-12 free throws.
SOSU would take an early 13-8 lead but
Haleigh Henson would come off the bench and get the Reddies started.
The sophomore from Greenwood, Ark. returned from an injury she suffered a week earlier and
busted back-to-back 3-point field goals as Henderson would take an 18-13 lead at the end of the first quarter.
The second quarter was dominated by the Reddies as Henderson outscored Southeastern 19 to 12 in the period to take a 37-25 halftime lead.
Keener was a big part of Henderson's push in the quarter as she scored 9 points and pulled down 8 rebounds to give her a total of 15 points and 10 rebounds in the first half.
Henderson's defense was also key to the first-half advantage as SOSU was limited to just 26 percent shooting being successful on just 9-of-34 shots.
The Reddies controlled the entire second half getting solid shooting form Henson and Victoria Smith as the two combined for nine 3-point field goals with Henson having five.
Henson finished the game with 15 points going 5-for-8 from the 3-point arc, while Stewart totaled 12 points.
Moe Bedford was also instrumental in Henderson's win in crashing the boards grabbing nine rebounds while dishing out five assists along with five points.
Henderson finished the game shooting 44 percent from the field making 27 of 61 attempts from the field. Southeastern managed to make 23-of-71 field goals for 32 percent.
The Reddies also won the battle on the boards with 47 rebounds compared to 38 for the Savage Storm.

Henderson State will next take on Rogers State on Saturday, Dec. 12 at the Duke Wells Center with tipoff set for 2 p.m.
