Box Score Henderson State overcame an 11-point halftime deficit as the Reddies scored a GAC record 69 second-half points to beat Ouachita Baptist 98-86 in women's basketball action Thursday at Vining Arena in Arkadelphia.

With the win, Henderson State10-15 overall and 8-11 in the GAC, punched its ticket to the GAC Tournament next week in Bartlesville, Okla.

After trailing 40-29 at halftime, the Reddies got the offense going in the second-half outscoring the Tigers 31-13 in the first eight minutes to take a 60-53 lead.

OBU, 10-15 and 6-13, would tie the game at 65-65 with 10:13 to play when Katherine West hit back-to-back 3-point field goals.

Henderson State would later put together a small run as Sledge hit a pair of free throws and a 3-point field goal, while
Victoria Stewart got free for an easy bucket to put the Reddies on top 81-73 with 4:27 remaining.

The Tigers would make one last surge as they would cut the deficit to 85-81 with 2:23 remaining following a Breanna Harris layup.

However, the Reddies would take over the remainder of the game as
Haleigh Henson hit a big 3-point field goal followed by another layup by Stewart to put Henderson up by nine.

Henderson State would hit eight straight free throws down the stretch to secure the win and complete the series sweep of the Lady Tigers.

Sledge ended with a career-high 39 points, two points shy of the Henderson State record. The senior from West Helena, Ark. completed the double-double with 10 rebounds.

Sledge, who ranks third in HSU history in scoring, increased her career total to 1,313 points.

Dulincia Keener totaled 18 points and six rebounds, while Stewart added 15 points with nine rebounds.

Jasmine Settles put together a strong performance at her point guard position scoring nine points, with four rebounds, four assists and no turnovers.

The Reddies finished the night shooting 47 percent from the field making 33-of-71 from the field including a big second-half that saw Henderson hit on 22-of-34 shots for 65 percent.

Henderson did the job at the foul line making 23-of-26 from the charity stripe, while OBU made 15-of-21.

Henderson State will play its final regular-season game Saturday against Southern Arkansas with tipoff at the Duke Wells Center set for 1 p.m.
