The Henderson State volleyball team takes the show on the road for the second time this week as it travels to Searcy, Arkansas on Thursday for a matchup with Harding at 6 p.m.

The Lady Bisons won the first meeting of the two teams this season 3-1 back on Sept. 13 in both schools' GAC opener. The Lady Bisons lead the all-time series with Henderson 50-22 and have won the last 14 matches in a row. The Reddies have not defeated Harding since 2009 when they were members of the Gulf South Conference.

The Reddies are coming off of a 3-1 loss on Tuesday night to crosstown rival Ouachita Baptist and are currently 7-6 in the GAC. With East Central's 3-0 loss to Southern Nazarene on Tuesday night, Henderson clinched a spot in the eight-team GAC Tournament in Hot Springs, Arkansas for the first time since joining the GAC in 2011.

Sophomore opposite hitter
Sharon Tukuaoga's strong play continued despite the loss to OBU, as she tallied 21 kills in defeat. She has notched 20 or more kills in four of the last five matches for Henderson and continues to rank among the top offensive players in the conference. She is second in the GAC in total kills (385) and kills per set (3.97) and ranks ninth in attack percentage (.275).

Henderson's leaders on defense continue to be junior libero
Sydney Skelton and freshman middle blocker
Adrianna Hartmann. Skelton had 31 digs against OBU, while Hartmann blocked five Tiger attacks. Both players remain near the top of the conference statistically, with Skelton ranking second in total digs (510) and third in digs per set (5.20), while Hartmann is third in total blocks (85) and fifth in blocks per set (0.91).

As a team the Reddies rank third in the conference in total kills (1232) and fourth in kills per set (12.57), while also ranking second in total assists (1180) and fourth in assists per set (12.04).

The Lady Bisons are 10-3 in GAC play this season and have won their last six matches in a row without dropping a set. They are currently second in the conference standings, one game behind first-place Oklahoma Baptist.

Harding is led by two reigning GAC Players of the Week in outside hitter Emily Clayton and setter Abigail Glosup, as well as sophomore middle blocker Zoe Hardin, who is the conference leader in blocks (137) and hitting percentage (.342).

Senior Sara Smith and sophomore Emma Reeves, along with Hardin, are the top three hitters percentage-wise in the GAC and have helped lead the Lady Bisons to the top team hitting percentage in the league (.229).

Harding is also stout defensively, as they lead the conference in opponent hitting percentage (.117) and blocks per set (2.36).
