Henderson State will attempt to win its third straight conference game and fourth consecutive contest overall as the Reddies travel to Ada, Okla. to face East Central, Thursday with tipoff set for 7:30 p.m.
Henderson is attempting to begin Great American Conference play 3-0 for the first time since the inception of the league in 2011.
The Reddies have won three consecutive games including a pair of GAC contests and a 99-42 victory over Baptist Bible their last time out.
Henderson is averaging 81.8 points per games, third in the GAC, while allowing 70.0 points per contest.
Kaylon Tappin leads the team in scoring averaging 15.6 points per game. The junior from Little Rock has scored in double-figures in four of five games and averages 18.0 points against GAC opponents.
Kevin Kozan averages 12.2 points and leads the team in 3-point field goal percentage at .550 making 11-of-20 trifectas. The senior from New Lenox, Ill. needs just 3 points to become the 24th Reddie to score 1000 career points.
Toney Foster also averages double-figures for the Reddies scoring 10.3 points per contest. The senior from West Monroe, La. is shooting 59 percent from the field.
East Central is 2-4 on the season and 0-2 in GAC play. The Tigers are the defending GAC regular-season champions and have six seniors on the squad.
ECU has won its last two games recording a 72-46 win over Missouri-St. Louis and a 82-68 victory over Maryville.
The Tigers rank ninth in the league in scoring averaging 73 points per contest while allowing opponents 72.2 points per game.
One of the top returnees for the Tigers is Braxton Reeves who is averaging 16.5 points per game. A First-Team All-GAC selection a year ago, the senior from Fort Worth, Texas averaged 15.1 points per game last year and was fifth in the league in 3-point field goals.
Ishmael Donzo will also be a factor on Thursday. A honorable mention All-GAC selection a year ago, the senior from Queens, N.Y. averages 10.7 points while pulling down a team-best 7.0 rebounds per game.
Newcomer KD Moore is averaging 9.8 points having scored in double-figures in the last three games.
Henderson State and East Central meet for the 23rd time in a series that dates back to 1957.
Henderson leads the series with a 12-10 advantage, however ECU has won the last four straight contests.
The Reddies won the first six games of the GAC era before the Tigers' current streak.
