Six Reddies scored in double-figures as Henderson State cruised to a 79-68 Great American Conference victory at Ouachita Baptist on Monday night.
With the win, HSU(10-8 GAC) clinched a spot in the Great American Conference Tournament in Bartlesville in early March.
The Reddies shot an impressive 53 percent from the field in the contest, including 9-of-16 from beyond-the-arc while limiting Ouachita to 39 percent shooting on 22-of-57 attempts.
HSU also dished out a season-high 20 assists against the Tigers, while forcing 14 OBU turnovers.
Leading HSU individually on the night was
Haleigh Henson, as the sophomore from Greenwood knocked down five three pointers and scored 18 points.
After being in foul trouble most of the night,
Dulincia Keener followed up her impressive performance on Saturday with a 14 points effort, and was a perfect 4-for-4 from the charity stripe.
Senior guard
Victoria Stewart also pitched in a strong performance, as she poured in 12 points and dished out six assists.
Rounding out the double-digit scorers for HSU and all three pitching in 11 points were
Brittany Branum,
Moe Bedford, and
Makyndra Simmons.
Simmons pulled down 11 rebounds as well for a double-double effort.
For Ouachita, Kori Bullard led the way with 19 points in the losing effort, while Katie Kapler had 15 points and Breanna Harris scored 13.
The Reddies will return to action on Thursday at first-place Arkansas Tech in a pivotal matchup, with tipoff set for 5:30 p.m.
