Reddies Look To Remain Unbeaten at Home

Henderson State will look to remain unbeaten at home as the Reddies play host to Northwestern Oklahoma on Saturday in Great American Conference play with tipoff set for 3 p.m. at the Duke Wells Center.           

Henderson has won all seven games on its home court outscoring opponents by 28 points per game. The Reddies average 94.0 points while Opponents average 66.0 points at the Duke Wells Center.
           
Henderson has already matched its win total from a year ago having a 9-2 overall record and 4-1 mark in GAC play.
 
Chris Hawkins will attempt to record his third straight double-double and fourth overall after scoring 13 points and pulling down 11 rebounds in Thursday's win over Southwester Oklahoma. Hawkins averages 14.4 points on the season including a team-best 16.4 point in GAC contests.
 
Kaylon Tappin scored 11 points against the Bulldogs and continues to lead the Reddies offensively scoring 16.1 points per game. The junior from Little Rock averages 15.0 points against conference opponents.       

Kevin Kozan averages 11.1 points per game and is shooting 45 percent from beyond the arc. The senior from New Lenox, Ill. averages 13.6 points in GAC games and has knocked down 15-of-30 trifectas.        
 
Henderson has dominated the inside game this year averaging 44.2 points per game while the opponents are scoring 31.3 points underneath.

The Reddies have outscored opponents in the paint in 9 of 11 games and have scored 50 or more points inside the key four times.

Northwestern Oklahoma is 4-6 on the season and 0-5 in GAC play following Thursday's 74-70 loss to Ouachita Baptist. The Rangers average 76.1 points per contest while allowing opponents to score 77.5 points per game.
           
Adrian Motley leads NWOSU averaging 18.7 points per game which ranks third in the GAC. Motley also leads the team in rebounding at 7.7 boards per game. The senior from Humble, Texas scored 23 points against the Tigers on Thursday. He was 9-of-16 from the floor and also grabbed a team high nine rebounds, just shy of double-double numbers.      

Zachary Dumas follows scoring 10.9 points per contest. Dumas scored 20 points against OBU. The sophomore from Huffman, Texas was 7-of-8 from the field and 4-of-4 from behind the arc.       

Northwestern's top perimeter shooter is Cody Halvorson who has knocked down 48 percent from beyond the 3-point line converting on 25-of-52 attempts. Halvorson averages 9.3 points per game.           

Northwestern Oklahoma leads the all-time series with Henderson State having a 5-3 advantage.Northwestern has won four of the last five meetings.      
The Reddies ended a four-game losing skid to the Rangers last time out.
