Reddies Roll to 104-89 Win over Texas College

Josh Jones scored a career-high 25 points to lead Henderson State to a 104-89 win over Texas College, Saturday at the Duke Wells Center in Arkadelphia, Ark.

The Reddies shot a sizzling 63 percent from the field hitting on 39-of-62 attempts while also converting on 19-of-23 shots from the foul line.

Henderson, 3-2 on the season, built a 50-34 halftime lead with the help of a 61 percent shooting percentage from the floor with the Reddies knocking down 19-of-31 shots.

Josh Jones scored 12 points in the opening 20 minutes, while DJ Franklin came off the bench to score 8 points making all four shots he attempted.

It was more of the same in the second half as the Reddies made 20-of-31 field goals for 65 percent shooting.

Chris Parker followed Jones with a career-high 18 points to go along with four assists, while Matt Panaggio scored 14 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Brad Nairn also scored in double-figures having 11 points along with 6 boards.

Henderson totaled 24 assists in the contest with Eric Dailey leading the way with six to go along with 7 points.

The Reddies scored 21 points off of 15 Texas College turnovers, while scoring 50 points in the paint.

Henderson State returns to Great American Conference play when the Reddies play host to Southern Nazarene on Thursday with tip-off set for 7:30 p.m. at the Duke Wells Center.
