Henderson State returns to action on Saturday as the Reddies welcome Ecclesia to the Duke Wells Center with tip-off scheduled for 2 p.m.
Henderson's last game was an exhibition contest at Arkansas State last Saturday. The Red Wolves beat the Reddies 90-76.
The Reddies are led by
Kaylon Tappin who leads the Great American Conference in scoring averaging 19.4 points per game. The senior from Little Rock also leads the league in free throws attempted and made having knocked down 58-of-70 attempts.
Josh Jones averages 15.5 points per contest which ranks ninth in the league. The junior from Memphis, Tenn. leads Henderson in 3-point field goal percentage hitting on 47 percent (16-of-34) from beyond the arc.
Ecclesia (Springdale, Ark.) is a member of the National Christian College Athletic Association. The Royals enter the game with a 0-11 record and are averaging 60 points per contest.
DQ Bagsby leads the squad scoring 11.0 points per contest, while Cash Krueger is averaging 10.3 points.
Following Saturday's game, the Reddies will break for the holidays and return to action on Dec. 30 when they host Paul Quinn College at the Duke Wells Center with tip-off set for 2 p.m.
