Alan Hall and
Jordan Taylor combined for seven hits to lead Henderson State to a 7-6 win over Oklahoma Baptist in Shawnee, Okla.
With the win, the Reddies claim the series over the Bison after splitting a double-header on Friday. Henderson improved to 9-4 overall and 4-2 in Great American Conference play.
For the ninth time in 13 games, Henderson scored in the opening inning as
Parker Jones laced a double down the left field line and then scoring on Taylor's first hit of the game.
The Reddies stretched the lead to 4-0 in the third-inning scoring three runs on three hits.
Brentten Schwaab started things with a single to right field with Hall following with a bunt single. After Jones was hit by a pitch to load the bases, Taylor scored Schwaab on a sacrifice fly.
Hayden Lessenberry stepped to the plate and blasted his third double of the series to score two more runs.

Oklahoma Baptist scored a run in the fourth, but the Reddies responded with a run in the top of the fifth on Taylor's second home run of the season to make the score 5-1.

The Reddies added single runs in the following two innings with Hall driving in a run on a single to right field to score
Joe Myers who walked to lead off the sixth.

Colton Coffman provided Henderson's final run with a solo home run to left field.

The Bison, 8-4 on the season, scored two runs in the seventh and eighth innings before
Blake Patterson retired the side in order in the ninth.

Chris Hunt pitched 6 1/3 innings, striking out six batters while allowing just one earned run to improve to 3-1 on the year.
Patterson pitched the final 2 2/3 innings and struck out four batters in picking up his second save.
Lessenberry led the Henderson offense in the three-game series going 6-for-12 with 3 doubles, 5 runs batted in.
Hall was 5-for-11 with a double and Taylor 4-for-10 with a home run and 3 RBIs.
The Reddies return home on Tuesday to face Central Baptist in a non-conference affair with the first pitch set for 6 p.m. at Clyde Berry Field.
