Henderson State used a sixth-inning rally and got several big performances as the Reddies swept a double-header from Southwestern Oklahoma, 6-3 and 2-1, Friday at Clyde Berry Field.
The Reddies improved to 22-16 overall and 15-11 in Great American Conference play while the Bulldogs fell to 15-21 and 11-13.
Henderson had to rally from a 1-0 deficit late in game two to get the sweep and it all started when pinch-hitter
Jackson Martin slapped a triple to right field to begin the inning.
Alan Hall, who totaled five hits in the twin-bill, then doubled to left-center field to tie the score at 1-1. With two outs and runners on the corners,
Joe Myers took Jeremy Smith's 1-2 offering to left field to drive home the eventual game winning run.
Reddie relief pitcher
Blake Patterson entered the game in the seventh and retired the side in order to pick up his second save of the day and ninth of the season.
Patterson's effort preserved the win for
Bryant Haralson who improved to 6-3 on the year. Â Â Â
