Henderson State won its sixth straight Great American Conference game as the Reddies completed a three-game sweep of Northwestern Oklahoma in beating the Rangers 6-1, Sunday in Alva, Okla.

With the win, the Reddies improved to 26-17 overall and 19-11 in the GAC. More importantly, Henderson clinched home field advantage for the opening round of the GAC Tournament and will host the best-of-three series May 5 and 6 at Clyde Berry Field.

Alan Hall was a tough out as the senior from O'Fallon, Mo. was 4-for-4 for the day including a triple and run batted in. Hall reached base safely in all six plate appearance walking twice in the contest.

Joe Myers was 2-for-2 with a pair of runs scored while
Nolan Ryan drove in two runs going 1-for-3 at the plate.

Henderson totaled 12 hits in the game with eight of nine Reddies having hits. However, the Reddies stranded 14 base runners.

Northwestern Oklahoma scored its lone run of the game in the opening frame, but
Chris Hunt held the Rangers in check the next six innings, striking out four batters in getting the win to improve to 6-4 on the year.

The Reddies tied the score in the second-inning as Hall delivered a two-out single to score Ryan who reached earlier on a fielder's choice.

Henderson added three runs in the fourth-inning as the Reddies put together three hits in the inning.
Parker Jones led things off with a single up the middle followed by a bunt single by Myers. The Reddies then loaded the bases as
Dylan McCain by hit by pitch.

The first run scored on a wild pitch, followed by Ryan and Brentten Schwabb both driving in a run with sacrifice flies.

In the Reddie eighth, Hall led off the inning with a triple to right field with
Hayden Lessenberry scoring Hall on a single to right field to make the score 5-1

Henderson added an insurance run in the ninth as Ryan hit a single to left-center field to score Myers who led off the frame with a single of his own.
Blake Patterson pitched the final two innings for the Reddies striking out three batters.

Hall and Jones had six hits each in the three-game series with Ryan going 5-for-13.

Henderson returns home for its final regular-season game on Tuesday as the Reddies play host to Southern Arkansas for a non-conference tilt with the first pitch set for 6 p.m.
