Reddies Aim for Season Sweep of Ouachita Baptist on Tuesday

ARKADELPHIA, ARK. — Henderson State will travel across the street on Tuesday night looking for the program's first sweep of Ouachita Baptist since 2010 when the two teams face off at 6 p.m.

Henderson State (22-4, 10-2), is riding a three-match winning streak after wins over Northwestern Oklahoma State, Jarvis Christian and Arkansas Tech. The Reddies did not drop a single set in those three matches. HSU won the first meeting of the season with the Lady Tigers in a dramatic five-set thriller, which saw the Reddies come back from a 2-1 deficit.

The Reddies are in third place in the Great American Conference standings with just four regular season league matches remaining, while Ouachita Baptist sits two matches back in fourth. Both teams have clinched berths to the 2018 GAC Volleyball Championships in Hot Springs, Arkansas on Nov. 8-10.

Courtney Bolf led the Reddies with 23 kills and 22 digs in the first edition of the 2018 Battle of the Ravine which the Reddies won 3-2 (24-26, 25-21, 15-25, 27-25, 15-10). Adrianna Hartmann had a season-high 16 kills, Zuzana Ondruskova notched a career-best 24 digs, while Abby Blackburn and Taylor Scalzi combined for 65 assists and 30 digs. Gigi Garramone also had a career-night, as she led the Reddies with 39 digs.
