Henderson Hosts Hannibal-LaGrange Saturday

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. — Henderson State looks to defend home court on Saturday afternoon when the Reddies welcome Hannibal-LaGrange to the Duke Wells Center at 2 p.m.

REDDIES REPORT
- Henderson (3-1) returns to the Duke Wells Center after a tough loss last Saturday afternoon to Mississippi College of the Gulf South Conference down in Clinton, Mississippi. The Reddies out-rebounded the Choctaws and were in the game until the final whistle, but could never break MC's second-half lead and took their first loss of the season, 78-73.

- Four players finished in double figures for the Reddies in the loss. Raekwon Rogers had a double-double off of the bench with 14 points and 10 rebounds, while Anthony Lupardus had 12 points and both Mike Fofana and Chris Parker each had 11.

- The matchup with Hannibal-LaGrange is the last non-conference game for Henderson before it faces Great American Conference competition. Rival Southern Arkansas will be the first GAC test for the Reddies on Nov. 29 in Magnolia, Arkansas. The Muleriders won both contests last season. HSU still has one non-conference game left to play in 2018-19 against Oklahoma Panhandle State on Dec. 4.

- The Reddies' depth this season has been on display and could be a huge benefit to Henderson as the year progresses. HSU has already had seven different players score in double figures this season and boasts nine guys who average 10 or more minutes per game so far this year.

- Henderson has out-rebounded its opponent in all four games so far this season. The Reddies average 39.2 boards per game and are allowing just 32 per game to the opposition -- a rebounding margin of +7.3 through four contests.

SCOUTING HANNIBAL-LAGRANGE
- Hannibal-LaGrange, an NAIA school from Hannibal, Missouri, enters Saturday's contest 0-5 on the season. The Trojans have lost to Lyon College and Central Baptist, who both come from the state of Arkansas. This is the first meeting all-time between the two institutions.

- Sophomore forward Brady Smith is the player who makes the Trojans go so far this year. Smith averages 24 points, 7.6 rebounds and four assists per game this season on just under 49 percent shooting from the field. He had 45 points two weeks ago against Central Baptist in a game where he was 17-of-22 from the free throw line.

- The Trojans have struggled as a program in the last several years and have not had a winning season in over a decade. Hannibal-LaGrange has not won more than eight games in a single season since 2011-12 when it went 12-18.
