Henderson State will play five games in the next 10 days to conclude the regular-season portion of the schedule, beginning on Thursday as the Reddies play host to Arkansas-Monticello with tip-off set for 7:30 at the Duke Wells Center.

The Reddies, 12-11 overall and 7-10 in league play, remain tied for eighth-place with Ouachita Baptist in the GAC standings.

Chris Parker has been Henderson's top performer the last five games averaging 16.6 points while making 24-of-25 shots from the foul line, The true freshman from Plano, Texas averages 13.8 points per game along with dishing out 3.8 assists per contest.
Parker scored 16 points and had 6 assists in the first game against the Boll Weevils.    Â
Kaylon Tappin has led the Reddies all season in scoring and averages 18.8 points per game. The senior from Little Rock has averaged just under 15 points in the last three games. On January 13 against UAM, Tappin scored 18 points and was 3-for-8 from 3-point range.

Josh Jones is second in scoring for the Reddies averaging 14.1 points per game. The Memphis native scored 9 points and pulled down 4 rebounds in the first game this year against UAM.   Â
DJ Franklin scored 12 points and had 6 rebounds earlier against UAM. The sophomore from Monticello is averaging 8.7 points per game and leads the team in blocked shots with 19.

Arkansas-Monticello enters Thursday's game with a 14-9 overall record and a 9-8 mark in the GAC play.
The Weevils are one of the top scoring teams in the GAC averaging 81.1 points per game. The squad is hitting nearly 50 percent from the field, second in the league. Defensively, UAM allows 72.9 points per contest and leads the GAC in steals averaging 8.4 thefts.
Derylton Hill leads the team in scoring averaging 17.9 points including scoring 20 or more points 11 times. The senior from Palm Bay, Fla. scored 15 points and pulled down 12 rebounds in the first game versus Henderson.
Karim Mawuenyega follows averaging 15.3 points per outing. Mawuenyega leads the team in 3-point field goals, knocking down 75-of-181 for 41.4 percent from behind the arc. Earlier this year against the Reddies he scored 19 points including making four 3-pointers.
Cobe Goosby averages 14.7 points and has dished out a team-best 125 assists.
Henderson State leads the all-time series against Arkansas-Monticello having a 94-64 advantage in a series that began in 1931. The Boll Weevils have won the last three meetings and four of the last five contests.   Â
